Level surface walkways can be just as hazardous as ladders or stairways, especially when there’s snow, water, oil, grease, or other slippery substances involved. Safety Step Anti-Slip Walkway Covers provide a fast, reliable, and highly effective way to improve safety and create designated safe walkway zones.

These covers are incredibly strong and lightweight, making them easy to customize to almost any configuration. They can be applied to a range of surfaces and can be arranged end-to-end to create a continuous surface or heel-to-toe with spacing up to 6” (150mm) between each cover, ensuring secure heel or toe contact.

Safety Step Walkway Covers are offered in flat sheets in varying standard sizes up to 48” x 96”. They are typically ordered in two dimensions (length and width) and can be cut or shaped to suit almost any custom need.

The thickness of walkway covers will vary based on the grit texture specified, (i.e., the coarser the grit – the thicker the cover) and will range between 1/8”–1/4” (3–7mm).

Our walkway covers come in four grit sizes to fit any application:

Color matching to RAL classic color system is available on request.

Safety Step anti-slip products provide an innovative way of navigating at night with their glow-in-the-dark capability. Fully embedded photoluminescent strips charge with exposure to a light source and then glow bright green for a minimum of 12 hours in dark or low light conditions. They identify step edges or illuminate emergency evacuation routes with critical visibility to ensure safe egress from any facility.

Safety messages, warnings, directions, or company logos may be added to any walkway cover as needed. These can remind workers to always think of safety or warn of any hazards or hazardous areas to which they may be exposed or provide important directions to egress pathways during an emergency.
